The sharp spiral threads on the mandrel provide a griping feature on the centers of the material being held. Mandrel is ideal for use with 1/4" Collet Handpieces. Mandrel is made of Hardened Steel, it is heat treated, the taper on the threaded section is a approximately 7 degrees, providing a good hold for pin hole to 1/8" center hole wheels points etc... see pictures of various items that work with this mandrel. Mandrel - Arbor can be used with many rotary tools, including Foredom #44, 43 (As Pictured 2nd and last images) and 28 Handpieces as well as Hand Drills and die grinders. The tapered threads of this mandrel will hold and accommodate small Buffing Wheels, Rubberized and Polishing Felt Buffs, Points, Cones, Bullet shapes and Cylinders.
