They develop when the oyster rejects and expels the implanted nucleus before the culturing process is complete, or the implanted mantle tissue fractures and forms separate pearl sacs without nuclei. Layers of nacre are secreted within the pearl sac, and without a nucleus, the resulting pearl is 100% nacre. These Tahitian Keshi pearls are all-natural in color and have not been dyed, treated nor enhanced in any way. Pearl sizes range from approximately 3mm to 11mm. Price quoted is for one strand only. One strand is approximately 16-inches long. Please select your strand choice from the drop-down menu above. These are loose strands - temporarily strung only, not knotted between the pearls and have no clasps, and are being sold here as they are. We do offer stringing services, with minimal add-on fees.
