Description: Our StewMac Razor Files are super sharp and super efficient! Imagine putting hundreds of little razor-sharp planes to work while you're shaping an instrument neck. They're the sharpest fine-cut woodworking files we've ever used. They cut quickly and aggressively, but leave the wood surprisingly smooth. You'll discover they're real time-savers for shaping solidbodies, custom jigs and clamping cauls too. A new manufacturing process is the key to Razor File efficiency. Rows of semi-circular plane-like teeth are chemically etched to extreme sharpness, and diagonal grooves are milled at strategic intervals to minimize clogging. Early samples of these files were quickly snapped up by our R&D guys for testing in their own shops, and they immediately loved them. Features include: Small files are for more detailed shaping work: tight contours, corners and smaller surfaces. This curved file cuts on the outward face, and is smooth on the back side (and also has "safe" smooth sides). The handle is rubber-coated for comfort. Dimensions: Cutting surface: 3-7/8" x 3/8" (98mm x 10mm) Overall length including handle: 7-7/8" (200mm)
