Description: Selling a Sterling JP170D John Petrucci 7-string signature guitar. One of the least-known models in the entire lineup, it’s also one of the best-looking, with a killer Ruby Red Burst on a slightly larger body that makes a clear nod to the much more expensive BFR line from Music Man. Basswood body with a quilted maple veneer, paired with the signature Liquifire and Crunch Lab pickups from DiMarzio, nails the characteristics of the Petrucci sound. Plain maple neck with a 25.5” rosewood fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, and the classic shield inlays fill out the signature look. The neck profile is an asymmetric thin C, a little beefier on the low strings for heavy riffing. 510-style floating tremolo and locking tuners make way for all the flutters, squeals and other guitar acrobatics a player could desire. Simple volume/tone/toggle controls make it easy to get to the action, less time fiddling with knobs and more time playing. Guitar is in fantastic condition with largely minor signs of play or wear. There’s a very small nick in the back of the neck that’s been pictured for posterity - mainly because it’s the only thing I can find anywhere that’s wrong with it. It’s an awesome piece, an 7 string I’ve really grown accustomed with and one I don’t necessarily want to get rid of, but I have way too many guitars as it is and really ought to thin the herd. Includes tremolo arm. Any questions or concerns, feel free to ask. Many thanks!
