Description: Set of Eight Vintage SUPERIOR Condition 7-7/8 Inch Diameter Salad / Dessert Plates by St. Andrews of Royal Doulton in the Geometrix Pattern - Made in England This is a set of eight vintage 7-7/8" diameter salad / dessert plates by St. Andrews of Royal Doulton in the Geometrix pattern in White. This pattern has been retired. These plates are in superior condition appearing to have seldom been used. There are no chips, no cracks, no stains, no haze, no crazing, and no gray utensil marks. See pictures. If you are a fan of the quality and style of bone china by St. Andrews, then you will want this set of plates! Part of the well known china company, Royal Doulton, these English produced bone china plates sport a white background with a 1-1/2 inch wide rim highlighted with a gold band at the edge. Each plate features a 3/16 inch wide cream band at the rim decorated with elongated diamonds of navy blue. The cream band is edged with a navy blue 1/16 inch wide band. The remainder of the plate rim is decorated with a checkerboard design of blue and cream diamonds with some of the cream diamonds displaying smaller diamond outlines within a diamond. The hand painted designs - particularly the blue diamonds vary in the intensity of the brush stroke depths from dark to lighter. The plate dimensions are 3/4" H, 7-7/8" diameter, and weigh 9.7 ounces each. These items will be well packed in a heavy duty box to help ensure safe delivery.
