Description: Modern rendition of Spode Chinese Rose pattern. Purchased from Ross Simons in the 2005-2006 time frame at the reportedly end of Spode's production of this pattern. Key is the black imprint on the bottom of the pieces and the clear consistent colors that are indicative of manufactured as opposed to hand painted coloring as is the case with all the vintage Copeland Spode Chinese Rose pattern pieces with the brown imprint on the back from my collection that is listed elsewhere on Ebay. Dinner plate measures 10 1/2" in diameter, bread/tea plate is 6 1/4" in diameter, oven-proof ramekin is 3" in diameter and 2" high. These pieces were purchased in anticipation of completing a full set of Chinese Rose until I discovered that I could purchase the vintage, handpainted Copeland Spode elsewhere. Now I am downsizing in retirement and I must deplete my collection of china sets as I do not have the room to store them in my condo.
