Spector BOB 4 Bass - SN #10 Vintage Made In USA - Darkglass Tone Capsule Preamp

Description: This bass is a Spector BOB 4 (BOB stands for bolt on bass) from 1996. These basses were a limited run, and I don't believe there were more than 150 of them made overall. Everybody likes to say how the item that they are selling is rare. This one actually is. I am fortunate enough to know a little bit of the history of this instrument before it came to me, and this particular example spent a good portion of its life kicking around Spector's old Woodstock facility, before they moved the shop to their current space, which is when I got it. This BOB has original EMG SSD soapbar style pickups, but has been updated with a contemporary darkglass tone capsule active preamp, a new jack, plus all new wiring and pots. The bass sounds incredible. This instrument did not come to me with a case, but I will check around my studio and see if I can at least locate a soft case that will fit this instrument before it ships. It does include a brand new NOS rear cavity cover that's undrilled and still covered with original plastic. Questions? Ask! I'm happy to do whatever I can to answer any and all inquiries. As is the case with all used instruments, this item is imperfect. I tried to highlight any defects with close-up pictures.
