Description: While I do not have a ton of information on this particular chest rig, I can tell you that this is one of the early manifestations of the popular Pattern 83 webbing. From what I have found, it may have been issued to the famous 32 Battalion (South African Special Forces). It is an interesting prototype. Pattern 83 will incorporate many of the designs on the chest webbings and improve in other ways. A piece of rare kit that doesn't come into the States very often.
