The birds DO come and start nesting, but we have a lot of trees and hawks which nest there. The birds move out soon after they make their nests, probably because of the hawks. After trying for about four years to entice the Purple Martins to come, I have decided to give up. I am trying to sell with local pickup (near Williamsburg, VA) because the house is already assembled and shipping costs are prohibitive.
