SIX Antique MINTONS Wildlife Birds - Turkeys Hand Painted 8.5” Porcelain Plates

Description: These six antique MINTONS porcelain plates are a unique addition to any collection. Featuring a hand-painted wildlife scene of Turkeys in vibrant colors with intricate details, each plate has a diameter of 8.5" and a height of 1". The set includes six plates with an olive green border and gold scroll with star accents. The plates have an embossed edge design of three leaf clovers with lines and a scalloped edge. The plates date back to the 1890s or early 1900s and feature turkeys painted from famous wildlife artist, RK Beck. It looks like there is a signature but it’s hard to make out. They feature a multicolor wildlife pattern with turkeys, perfect for a Thanksgiving dinner or any festive occasion. All plates are in excellent condition for their age, but all do have glaze crazing on them. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Two of the plates do have a brownish discoloration to the backside. Four of the plates are stamped with Mintons and two are blank. I believe these are antique Mintons, Germany plates, but I’m not positive. Mintons did stamp their porcelain with just the word Mintons for a short period of time. Regardless, they are beautiful plates and would be an excellent addition to any collection!
