Description: Silver siglos, Persian Achaemenid kingdom, circa 505-480 BC, 5.6 gms, 14-15 mm diameter. The obverse shows Persian king, or hero (Darius?), in kneeling-running position to the right, holding a dagger in right hand, strung bow out front, upright in left hand. The reverse is an incuse punch. There appears to be what is assumed to be a banker's mark in the left field of the obverse, behind the figure. Punch mark on the center obverse. This is a genuine original coin, not a copy, replica or reproduction.
