This is the Charles IIII 8 Reales depicting the bust of King Charles the fourth of Spain, facing right, on the obverse. The obverse of this large, silver dollar size coin, has the legend "CAROLUS.IIII.DEI.GRATIA" surrounding the king's bust and the date 1804 below it. The reverse depicts the crowned arms of Spain between pillars with the legend "HESPAN.ET IND.REX" followed by the mint mark "Mo" then "8R. T.H." all surrounding the arms. These coins were used extensively in the US before the silver dollars were circulated. The coin is nicely toned with all of its details being fairly well preserved. It is a nice coin with nice eye appeal. This is KM# 109 should weigh ~27 grams and measures ~39 millimeters. The coin is graded VF35 by PCGS and comers in a plastic slab so labeled.
