Description: This is an exceptionally nice antique or vintage picture bowl spoon from beautiful Taormina, Italy, hard-to-find. It is 800/1000 silver, marked as such, details below. Taormina is a very scenic ancient city in Sicily, known for its huge amphitheater and other sites. The enamel bowl shows the town and presumably the Mount Etna volcano smoking in the background. It has the local crest and "Taormina" on the finial. It is about 5" long. Maker's marks: 800, a pine tree and the German moon and crown hallmark. Weight: about 14.3 grams. Engraving: None.
