Description: This Selmer Signet alto saxophone is in great playing shape. The Selmer Signet was made in the United States, and it's a step up from Selmer school band instruments, valued by intermediate and pro musicians for great tone at a reasonable price. This horn, serial number 669578, was probably manufactured in mid/late 1960s. These older instruments have the desirable "S" brace that differentiates them from newer beginner models. The Signet is a nice sounding and looking horn. It's a more affordable version of a Buescher Aristocrat professional level horn, re-branded as a Signet. These fine saxophones were made after Selmer USA bought out the Buescher company, but still offered Buescher designs in addition to their own.
