Description: For sale is a Selmer Mark VII tenor saxophone! This horn is vintage Selmer serial #310,xxx This horn is a great playing saxophone and is a very nice piece but is being sold as used and has its fair share of patina, various scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, and other quirky anomalies associated with such an old antique instrument. This saxophone has wood style key touches added after the factory. They are extremely comfortable and add a unique cool look. The saxophones neck had the front Mark VII badge removed. Shown in picture #24 there is a finger print size push in dent on the bell. This is an easy fix but the dent does exist. On the very front of the bell there was some kind of engraved symbol or letters that has been removed and delacquered around to mute it. It can still be seen faint from some angles, but a fantastic job was done and its hard to see at other angles. There is extra non original factory engraving that has been added to the horn. Above/around the serial number area has been engraved, the low B & Bb key guard has been engraved, as well some various other locations around the horn. There is some kind of heavy mass metal piece screw extension that was added to the body side neck receiver that is included. This sax comes with a random non original case. These days modern Selmer Paris tenors have gotten extremely expensive. Brand new professional Selmer tenors are selling for $9k $10k+ range. Even pre owned used Series IIs IIIs Ref 54s are selling for a pretty penny. All of this has really strengthened the Mark VII buying proposition. To be able to buy a vintage Selmer Paris tenor at this price is a beautiful thing and will hold its value strong. Please buy and pay confidently we will ship out ASAP upon purchase!
