Description: For sale is a Sega Genesis model 2 VA4 console, a generic 6 button controller, an official power supply, and a generic composite cable. The console is in acceptable to good condition in my opinion with quite a few scratches and imperfections. The VA4 model 2 console has improved audio from previous model 2 Sega Genesis consoles and they are sought after. The console has had some repairs done to it. The player 1 controller port had 3 broken traces, so I did some patch-work with some metal and solder to repair those, and now the console works great with no issues. Both controller ports have been tested and work great! One of the pins in the player 1 controller port are pushed in just a little, but this doesn't affect functionality in any way. The original reset button was faulty, so I replaced that with a clicky tact switch, and it's much more reliable. The solder on the power port on the back has been reflowed so it has a solid connection. You can move the power cord on the back of the console without in turning off.(see pictures) There are some small rust spots on the metal shielding inside the console. The pins that read cartridges have been cleaned with electrical contact cleaner and if your games are clean, this should read cartridges pretty reliably, but you probably know how old consoles are. Everything has been tested and works great! Everything will be shipped well protected in a box. Look at all the pictures to judge the condition of everything for yourself.
