SCARCE C1932 WAHL EVERSHARP EQUI-POISED FLAMINGO RING TOP FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

Description: For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 1932 Wahl Eversharp Fountain Pen in the very scarce Flamingo Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. I have hand-cleaned the inside of the barrel and cap. I replaced the old rubber sac with a new latex sac. I hand-polished the gold-filled 2-band trim on the cap, lever, ring-top, and Wahl Signature 14K NIB. There is no wear or brassing to the gold-filled trim and all have been polished to shine brightly again. I have cleaned, buffed, and polished the cap and barrel to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of this fountain pen. This fountain pen is made from celluloid in the very scarce "Flamingo" pattern, some refer to it as "OX BLOOD". The coloring is vibrant and gorgeous with no staining or dark areas. The cap has an imprint that reads, "WAHL-EVERSHARP MADE IN CHICAGO, U.S.A.". The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations on the barrel or cap. There are no cracks or repairs to the celluloid. This Wahl-Eversharp measures 4 5/8" in length capped and 5 5/8" posted. The lever assembly has been cleaned, polished, and oiled. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills just like it did originally in 1932. This pen has a Wahl Signature 14K NIB that is semi-flex with a line range from Fine to Double Broad. When measuring the actual tip (iridium) of the NIB, it measures at .63mm with digital calipers, a medium point. When creating the writing sample the NIB writes with a fine line measuring roughly .48mm and flexes up to a double broad stroke of 1.57mm when measuring with digital calipers using medium to firm pressure. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink. This vintage Wahl Eversharp Fountain Pen is in excellent+ condition - these pens in Flamingo rarely turn up for sale and this one is an amazing example! This Flamingo Celluloid makes a statement, it doesn't get much better than this. This Wahl-Eversharp in the Flamingo pattern celluloid is ready to write with or just add it to your writing arsenal collection. It is collector grade!
