Description: Salichon Blue Soda Seltzer Water Siphon Bottle Vintage 12" St. Etienne ParisThis is a wonderful antique seltzer bottle made in Paris. It is very vintage with the original lid and siphon intact. It stands just short of 12" tall. The lid is marked, "Durafort A. Paris" on one side and "Dubost-Prat" on the other. The blue bottle has an acid etched logo on the front that reads, "EtaGts-c Salichon St. Etienne". There is a rectangle mark on the base with a sword inside. The spray top is metal and bent with the top cap missing. I purchased a small collection of Seltzer bottles from an estate with folks that traveled over seas and have bottles from all over. Please view my other items.Item is in good condition. The bottle has wear to the underneath base ring where it slid across a counter withsome small minor bumps and bruises from use over the years. At the top shoulder there are also 1/4" wear lines where the ribs rubbed on a shelf over the years. I did not try to clean it - it is in as found condition. The metal top is bent and the top cap is missing. It feels like a soft metal - maybe pewter or something. It shows a few spots where someone must have opened it with pliers, but it opens fine now. The glass is old and blue all the way through - not coated. It looks like an early one, maybe 1900-1920. Please view the photos for a better description. I have other neat things listed.
