But, removal the first time is tight until you put it in and take it out a few times. Once you do this, simply pull back the ALS and a firm tilt down on weapon handle and a pull out simultaneously, will pull out nicely. The ALS has a sharp edge on it when new and it takes couple times to slightly lightly round it off. Afterwards, it's as nice a fit as there is any holster for the M9A3 with L3.
