The Ruger Single Shot Adapter has been recently improved and is NOW RPR compatible! It features a "sled design" that allows you to insert cartridges directly from the open bolt - no need to remove the adapter to load a cartridge, which makes it different than Ruger's own BX-1 adapter. You can use it to shoot non-standard rounds, like "22 shorts". HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE that when using the single shot adapter in the 10/22 semi-automatic rifle, you must manually slide and lock the bolt back, insert the .22 cartridge, then manually unlock the bolt, to chamber the round. Ruger and others have documented this procedure in online videos. To make this easier, many folks modify their 10/22 with an "automatic bolt release" (google search "10/22 automatic bolt release"). Regardless, when using with the 10/22, please ensure you are comfortable with the manual operation of the bolt on 10/22 rifles, before you order the Single Shot Adapter. Also available is the NEW CHAMBER SAFETY FLAG V2 in optimized height to fit Ruger 10/22 series semi-automatic rifles, and now the Ruger Precision Rimfire (2 versions - you select 10/22 -OR- RPR at checkout). The Safety Flag V2 is custom designed so that it positively latches into position and blocks the closing of the bolt. It now features an extended bottom to improve visibility of the flag. Serious and Professional shooters will prefer the unique safety flag design because it avoids introducing stray grit into a hot barrel. Plus it won't fall out as the firearm is handled, so it can be used at the range and for firearm storage and transport. Also note in the pictures - the unique embedded Arrowhead on the right side, which points to the muzzle, so you can always insert the adapter correctly the first time. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:QUESTION: Good morning, I was at a .22 PRS match over the weekend and saw a couple of shooters with your safety flags in both an RPR and a 10/22. I was really impressed with your product, and I also own both of those firearms, but since they both take the same magazine I was curious what the difference in the two flags was.Thank you. ANSWER: They are the same with the exception of the flag positioning. The 10/22 has the flag position shifted toward the ejection port so that it is more visible through the port. Unfortunately in this position it will not properly catch the RPR bolt, so it does not work in the RPR. The RPR version has the flag position shifted to the center of the adapter as required to catch the RPR bolt. The RPR version will work in both the RPR and 10/22, although be aware in the 10/22 it isn't as visible through the 10/22's smaller ejection port, so I offer two versions to address that.
