Description: Rudyard Kipling in San Francisco Book Antique Haywood H. Hunt Book Rudyard Kipling in San Francisco, Privately printed by Haywood H. Hunt, 1926 about Rudyard Kipling travels through San Francisco circa 1926. This is a presentation copy from printer Haywood H. Hunt to Daniel Buckley, presentation label inside front cover. Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) visited San Francisco on his journey from India to London, landing in San Francisco. This book contains an introduction by Clifford H. Cassidy as well as an etching of the San Francisco coastline by William Heacock Wilke (1879-1958). The original etching is a view of the bay from an interesting vantage point, from the west looking east into the bay, before the Golden Gate Bridge was built. Excellent condition, a few flaws such as a bit of a stain from liquid splashed on right side of inside front cover. Spine is tight and not 'cracked'. This book is rare, unique and very nice. Measures about 8" tall. If you would like more or specific pictures, let me know.
