Description: This is a Real Photo Postcard (RPPC), unposted, but with writing on the back. Postcard features a family standing beside the Mammoth Hooker Oak Tree, which is estimated at 1000 years old near Chico, California. Photo Postcard published by Eastman Studios. This tree was located in Bidwell Park in Chico. The tree was featured in The Adventures of Robin Hood starring Errol Flynn in 1938. The tree fell in 1977 and it was discovered that the tree were actually two trees about 325 years old had grown together. Please note the pin holes in the upper left of the postcard and the crease down the middle. Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases and bent corners.
