Description: DEAR CUSTOMERS: OUR SHOP IS MOVED AND WE'RE UP AND RUNNING! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ORDER ALL THE FEET YOU NEED! THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE! Carl Raphael Here we have a set of Four rubber feet for a Royal Model P Portable Typewriter! These little puppies fit on the bottom of the case, to replace the flat ones you have now. I don't believe that new rubber feet on the bottom of the Model P case will adversely affect the value of your machine, quite the opposite in fact. NOTE: The Bolts are NOT included, only the rubber feet! In the later years, Royal, as well as the others, screwed the machine into the case from the top, so you wouldn't have to deal with the case feet to remove the machine for maintenance or repair. However, early in the make of typers, they didn't quite get it, so they screwed the machine into the bottom of the case through the case feet into the machine, from the bottom. Not really a good plan. As the feet got flat, from years in the attic, it became more and more difficult to maintain the machine by removing the feet on the bottom of the case. Today, the feet are totally melted and flat, and if you need to separate the machine from the case bottom, you're screwed, because the feet are hard and flat and will crack into a million pieces when you try to unscrew the bolts! You need new feet! And here they are. If these are the feet you need, I've got 'em! Make sure they are for your machine, an early Royal Model P. I don't believe these beauties will fit anything else. PS: Be advised that the feet are a tight fit for the bolts, you'll have to press them in. I found it easiest to use a channel lock. The rubber is flexible, if my fingers were stronger I could do it barehanded. Arrrggh! Thanks for looking!
