He then moved to Roanoke,Virginia and accepted a position as MusicDirector and Air Personality with WSLC. Aposition he has now held for fifteen years.Since 1957, King Edward IV and theKnights have recorded five albums and aboutthirty-five singles. Many have hit the top 100on the Country Music Charts. This is hisfirst Christmas album. It is something he haslooked forward to for a long time. We thinkit’s an album you’ll enjoy for a long, long time.ABOUT THE KNIGHTSThe six members of King Edward ’s bandform a tight, professional group. All Virginianatives, they have been performing togetherfor years. They have also provided their talentas back-up vocalists and musiciansfor various other artists both in the studio andon the road.Fred Donaher has been with King Edwardthe longest, about fifteen years now. AlthoughFred has a degree in classical music, he’s verymuch at home in country. He’s also one ofthose rare musicians with perfect pitch. ChuckWard has packed a lot of talent and experienceinto his 21 years He plays just about any-thing and plays it well. Cary Len writes songsfor the Knights as well as local radio commer-cials. Donna Bell has sung on numerousrecordings with King Edward and other artists.Although Richard Kemp is primarily adrummer, his versatility enables him to helpout on various other instruments.
