Restored Sheaffer Touchdown Craftsman, Green, Extra-Fine # 33 14 K Gold Nib

Description: This is a restored vintage Sheaffer Touchdown Fountain Pen (model: Craftsman) in Green, from the 1950's, in very good condition. The pen is free of cracks or personalizations, and it is ready to write with a smooth nib. Please see the photos and full description below. The fountain pen has been fully serviced. It was disassembled, the nib and feed were ultrasonically cleaned and it was manually and lightly polished after covering the imprints and metal parts. It was fitted with new o-ring and sac. The section was sealed with a non-hardening rosin based sealant. After assembling the pen, it was inspected, tested and the nib was adjusted. It writes nicely, with good flow and should be ready to write for many years. Nib: 14k gold #33 nib, it writes a smooth and a little wet extra-fine line - an excellent writer (please see the writing sample in the last photo; the squares are 5mm x 5mm).Filling system: touchdown filler, with new seals and sac. It fills very well.Size: about 5 1/8 in (~ 13.0 cm) capped.Body: The plastic is very clean and there are no cracks or deep scratches, except for a few shallow tooth marks on the blind cap. There is also a ~ 1.0mm smooth brownish mark just about the breathing hole of the touchdown filler (likely an impurity of the plastic from factory). There are micro-scratches and some light scratches compatible with the age and use. Cap: The plastic is excellent. There are micro-scratches and some light scratches compatible with the age and use.
