Description: Unique and rare Resistol "Makahan" model western hat from the 1980's. This hat is part of the Stagecoach family of Resistol hats that was rolled out in the late 78 and ended 1983. The Stagecoach series were known for their unique style and decorations, especially their hat and brim bands Most had tall cattleman or brick shaped crowns This one is kind of unique and the first of its kind for me. The felt is high quality but soft and flexible. The open crown is tall and could easily be modified into a more conventional shape if desired. It is fully lined and has cream colored 3/4" wide grosgrain hatband ribbon with a matching bound brim in the same ribbon. The hat shows little signs of wear but it's been well stored with no real damage. It's a size 7 so it would be a good hat for either gender. One things for certain, it will attract a lot of attention.
