Renaissance Medieval Viking Celtic Apron Over Dress Hand Embroidery Costume Plus

Description: For consideration is a 3 pc Viking apron dress in red cotton w/ linen-like trim that has hand embroidered w/ Viking knot designs. Sale includes the apron dress, a set of beads to attach to your Viking broach, & a tie belt. Shown in some pics over a white under dress which is NOT included in this sale. Sale is for over dress, beads, & tie belt only. The dress is open down the sides w/ a lace up (black twill grommeted strip w/ black cord lacings) on each side at the paneled bust area. The upper dress has a hanging panel adorned in front w/ a grey linen-like ribbon that I have hand embroidered in a red & black Viking knot design. Towards the bottom of the dress is the same ribbon but has a larger 3 part design. Both areas also have thinner grey & white ribbon adornment sewn on by hand. The back is similar but less fancy & has a simple Odin's horn hand painted design. Bottom of the panel & dress is a slightly fringed selvage edge. The beads are a mix of glass, wood, & silver-toned/plated beads of black, red & white. The shoulder straps are combination of the 2 sizes of linen-like ribbon trims sewn together. The straps are pinned under some for these pics so there is enough length to allow you to adjust them to your size. Easy to just pin w/out it showing if you don't sew enough to tack them down. The panels will hide your pins. There is a wide white, soft twill waist tie. When deciding your fit, please allow for the style of armpit area on your under dress. Dress of a tunic style as shown in some pics have wide, loose arm pit areas & need extra width accounted for. This is about 3X or larger plus size dress, keep in mind the thickness of your under dress. Could be made smaller by moving the lace ups in closer. Allows for larger sizes w/ the lace-up. With this piece I have tried to accommodate sizes that can be very difficult to find in historic costuming. Shown on a XL size body form, which is too small to do it justice.
