NOTE: Due to different viewing screens, colors and/or contrast, etc. of pictures may look different than actual. 2024 Double-Cutaway Les Paul Junior "STYLE" Guitar bought new to Relic (or Age), upgrade and modify to somewhat resemble a well-used Vintage DC LP Junior. Solid Mahogany Body with a SET-Mahogany Neck and a TV Yellow finish that's been distressed showing a dulled finish, finish wear, dents, dings and chips to replicate age & playwear from years of use. "ALL" the Hardware has been aged down to every single screw! These are cosmetic only modifications that doesn't affect playability.All the electronics have been upgraded from the originals. Has a new no-name aftermarket P-90 Dog-Ear Single-Coil Pickup. I've used this same Pickup in numerous Junior style Guitars I've modded and even though it's a no-name, it's one of the better sounding P-90s I've came across. With the tone rolled back and some grit distortion, it has a nice FAT tone! Also upgraded with new full-size 500K Pots. Has a custom-made Pickguard, cut, shaped and edges beveled from a sheet of 4-ply Tortoiseshell pickguard material, that's more of the Double Cutaway Junior shape than the original, which was close but not close enough. Original Black Barrel Knobs replaced with more correct Reflector (Silver-Top) Bell Knobs and "Metal Pointers" added for that Vintage/Retro appearance.Has a SET Mahogany Neck with a 22 medium/jumbo Fret "Bound Ebony Fretboard". 24.75" scale, 1-11/16" nut-width. To further improve playability, the Fretboard has been lightly sanded with a very fine grit, buffed, conditioned with lemon-oil, then thoroughly buffed again to make the Fretboard nice & smooth, better than it came from the manufacture and plays with ease. *I do this to most Guitars I sell, new & used and makes for a significant improvement in playability. Frets were gone over to remove any light scratches, then polished so they're bright and slick. Fret ends rounded for a comfortable feel...has no shape Fret-Ends. *Fretboard wasn't distressed for best playability. Back of the Neck also lightly sanded to remove some of the original clear coat, then thoroughly buffed. *Back of the Neck wasn't distressed either. There aren't any dents or dings. It's "extremely smooth", fast and plays fantastic! Headstock has a familiar "open-book" shape with quality 0.02mm-thick Gold vinyl Decals applied. Has new set of vintage style Strip-Tuners with White Buttons that have been aged, and a Bell shape Truss-Rod Cover. Slots in the Nut has graphite applied to aid in tuning.Strung up with a fresh set of quality D'Addario 10-46 Strings (the Brand most Pros use & the only Strings I use) and a complete set-up done with nice low action! The Compensated Wrap-Around Bridge has been adjusted to the correct angle, so the intonation is excellent!Seriously an absolutely wonderful playing & sounding LP Junior style Guitar and an affordable alternative! Again, this is a brand-new DC LP Jr "style" Guitar that's been Relicd', upgraded & the playability improved! Like most of my Relic Guitars, the intention was to make it look like an "under the bed find" of an old, well-used Vintage Guitar. If you like the popular Relic look, you'll LOVE this Guitar! I consider Guitars to be "playable Art", with the playability of the Neck & Set-Up of course being key. I'm not a professional Luthier, but well above an amateur & I'm "extremely meticulous"! If you're looking for this type of Guitar, think about if other Sellers work on Guitars (most don't) and know how to set them up. Is the Neck straight, Truss-Rod functional, Fretboard clean? Are the Frets oxidized needing cleaned & polished, have dead frets or buzz that requires the frets to be leveled? Will the Strings be rusty or dead, needing a new set? And if it's a used Guitar, I'm sure you've found they usually arrive dusty, needing cleaning and require major tweaking just to be playable! Not this one! Also, will other Seller's description be as thorough as mine? Remember that you get what you pay for!This being said, I must also note: The Neck is perfectly straight, and it plays great, but I can't predict how you like your Guitar set up, so be advised that adjustments or a set-up to your preference "may" be required, and if you can't do it yourself, the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Also note that Guitars are made of Wood, and when in transit to you, temperature changes and/or Delivery Service Handling can affect my initial set-up, that again may require adjustments on your end.
