Description: Up for sale in this listing is this striking, one-sheet poster, created to promote the release of David Lynch’s extraordinary and controversial classic, Wild at Heart (1990), starring Nicholas Cage and Laura Dern. The poster I am selling is an original theatrical release poster that was created to promote the film at the time of its original release. I have owned the poster since roughly 1991 or 92 and have stored it in my temperate, smoke-free home. It is not a reprint, reproduction or mass market replica. The poster measures classic one sheet dimensions ( approximately 27” x 41”), and is in very nice shape, especially considering it’s now over 30 years old. This particular copy is of the somewhat rarer alt version of the one sheet that features a headline proclaiming, “A WILD RIDE AND A MUST SEE!” and it seems to command a lot more than the more common post-Cannes version without the headline. In fact, I see online poster dealers pricing listing a similar poster for significantly more than what I am seeking.: I believe the photos I’ve posted provide a good representation of the poster’s condition, so please examine them carefully. I’ve noted in the photos some relatively small imperfections, mostly along the border area and mostly in the form of pinholes, some slight rumpling of the paper, and a tiny fragment of the lower right corner that is clipped. Also, some other minor imperfections that I’ve photographed. The poster came rolled when I originally acquired and has been stored that way.
