As this is a replacement part professional paint prep and install (some sanding of parts thickness in the joint area, priming, filling) is always needed before painting. Mounting: The 3 pieces of the addon need to first be bolted together using the included bolts on the built in flanges. The addon is mounted on top of your standard early model W124 (1985-1993) non AMG rear bumper. The addon is then mounted to the standard bumper right bellow the corner line of the rear trim strip.
