Brief history: Jrgen Dahlerup (1930-2015) was a Danish silversmith distinguished in the field of church silver. At Kunstakademiet in Copenhagen, he studied sculpture and industrial design. In 1960, together with Gert Holbek, he designed the beautiful monobloc cutlery Prisme for Georg Jensen, which was reissued a few years ago by Stelton. At the beginning of the 1970s, his farmer's cutlery (or Landhaus 2300) produced by the German company Wsthof Dreizackwerk in Solingen was presented. The cutlery looks simple, clear, a bit powerful by the very thick wooden handles and the large knife blade. If one covers the wooden handles and therefore only considers the steel parts, one would rather assume a monoblock cutlery: But no, here a simplicity is combined with another, stamped and formed steel parts - at that time very modern, and modern - with peasant and thus traditional, rustic-looking wooden handles, almost the synthesis of modernity and tradition.
