Description: This is a rare Leopold Anzengruber 1912-1979 original Keramik ceramic bookend,it depicts an older gentleman scholar contemplating while sitting a top three books.It is a beautiful piece of Anzengruber work,it has a impressed backstamp on the bottom with "Handmade in Austria" and Anzengruber name below,it also has the Osterreichisches Erzeugnis Austria 13.115 tag on the bottom.This rare item has vivid color to it but does have a few minor age flaws,one of the glasses lens is chipped,the feather in his ear has a tiny wear spot,on the bottom back corner has a chip and some minor crazing is present,other than that in is in very good condition for its age.I acquired this item at an auction years ago.
