Rare Brooklyn Bridge NYC Arthur Leipzig Poster + African American Exhibit Photos

Description: Very rare original 1983 New York City gallery poster advertising the 100th Anniversary photograph show of the Brooklyn Bridge held at the Midtown Y Gallery in NYC. The show ran from May 26 1983 and eerily ended on 9/11/83! The poster highlights a photograph by Arthur Leipzig and advertises that there will be 100 photographs shown in the show. Included with the poster is an original 14” x 11” photograph that was in the show and actually placed in the top rankings. The photograph was taken by African American photographer David Kingsley Dumont of Jamaica and NYC. Also included is a real photo post card of the same image by the same photographer. The images show an old cobblestone street and trolley tracks at sunrise as the sun rises in behind the Brooklyn bridge and the twin towers! Note the World Trade Center in the background by the bridge. Both photographs will be signed on the verso by the photographer (who is now 70). Poster in Excellent condition with no damage other then the original fold lines. Clean and crisp. Comes housed in a Mylar sleeve and backed with a piece of rigid white paper board to ensure protection during shipping and while handling. Large photo is clean with a dog eared top left corner. Real photo post card in Excellent unused condition. Both photos and poster are all original to 1983. Poster measures 21 3/4” x 17”. Photo measures 13 3/4” x 10 3/4”.
