RARE 1993/4 PRE-TITLEIST/CT TOUR PROTOTYPE SCOTTY CAMERON CLASSIC 6 PUTTER W/COA

Description: Rare, possibly one of a kind, made for the tour, Pre-Titleist, Pre-CT 1993/4 Scotty Cameron Tour Prototype Classic 6 in black oxide finish. Putter is 35 inches in length with a 1-2 degree lessor lie than the standard Classic 6's 72 degrees and a half inch longer. Head is made from carbon steel with a black oxide finish with ground smooth face. There is no 'CAMERON' on the back of the putter or 'CLASS 6' on the toe of the sole. Scotty Cameron is stamped in the heal of the face but with black oxide fill, unlike the standard Classic 6 lettering which was gold paint fill. Putter has original stepless shaft and is fitted with original Scotty Cameron Danny Edwards grip. A true master piece and an early example of Scotty Cameron's craftsmanship. Putter comes with pictured COA and Black Scotty Cameron Fine Milled Headcover. Possibly one of his first, or at least very early, Tour Putters Putter style is very similar to the McGregor IMG5 (Ironmaster) and is most likely the model from which the 1996 Scottymaster was patterned after. From Scotty Cameron Putter Archive: The Classic 6 is a traditional heel shafted blade with lots of toe flow. If you are lucky enough to own a Classic 6 check the face and you may notice that it has been ground smooth. Many of the faces of the Classic 6 putters were ground smooth to keep the traditional look and feel. The Classic 6 was made in carbon steel and finished in a rich black oxide finish. A very few had a copper plated finish that would turn dark with age and form a beautiful patina. Since the Classic 6 is a traditional heel shafted blade with lots of toe flow timing is vital and a good path is crucial. If your timing is right, there is nothing like the true feel of a blade.
