It was written in 1946, this is a 2nd edition published in 1948 by the author, Florence Pierce. At the time it sold for only $2.50 but today is worth so much more when it is in great condition as this one is. While 1st Editions are harder to find, these second editions have better quality covers and the addition of the golden endpapers with the Aramaic translation of 1 Nephi 1 which the first editions lack. The Golden Plates were translated by Joseph Smith and published in our day at The Book of Mormon. This book is a literal work of art without even reading one page of the book... It has a 3D imprint rendering of the Hill Cumorah on the front cover that is in gold foil. It is sized at 6" wide x 8" tall, which is the approximate size of the real Golden Plates that Joseph translated. It has the appearance of being held together by 3 rings which also is the same as the real deal. The inside front and back covers have reproductions of ancient Hebrew which is the language that the plates were translated from. This special volume was Packed with numerous RARE NEVER BEFORE PUBLISHED photographs, drawings, maps and illustrations when it came out! It is the most extensive book ever published on the Golden Plates and provides a detailed historical account of their existence.
