Text in old and modern French. One of 4000 copies printed on laid rag paper and numberd from 1066 to 5065, this is copy number 1565. Very light sunning to spines of slipcases, with a small dark label ghost on upper corner of each case. Some toning to top edge of cases, with some light splash marks on side of the case for the fifth volume. Some very light soil and faint toning to wrappers of each volume. Some creasing to spines. Interiors are clean and unmarked. Bindings all sound. A beautiful set with color illustrations and old and modern French side by side in the original publisher's wrappers.
