RAM Aviation Yoke Mount for Garmin 795/796, Aera 500/510/550/560

Description: Garmin has some of the nicest GPS units in the business, and probably also some of the worst mounts. Here is the answer and the best alternative for mounting your Garmin 795, 796, and the Aera 500, 510, 550 and 560 series units. It consists of a double socket arm, yoke c-clamp and round base that will attach directly to the Garmin factory supplied "Aviation Mount with Power Cable and Audio Jack." (You MUST have this!) The c-clamp will accommodate rails in diameter from 0.625" to 1.25". The 1" rubber ball is at a right angle to the plane of the mount so when connected to a rail, the ball sits parallel to the rail. The GPS can be oriented in either portrait or landscape mode. We've used these mounts in our traffic watch aircraft for years and they're virtually bulletproof. This arrangement DOES NOT work with the small snap-in "Garmin G-Ball mounts used in some versions of these units.
