Description: This is a pair of purple enameled, gilt sterling silver 'Russian Egg' earrings. They are decorated with a leaf/vine pattern, each of the 18 leaves is set with a small clear stone. At the base is a pearl (synthetic I assume). The ear-wire is marked 925. They were originally sold by the National Geographic gift shop. The red presentation box, and outer cardboard box are included. The eggs are each about 17mm tall (not including the wire or bale) and about 11.5mm in diameter.
