Description: post-WWII Era US Marine Corps USMC NCO Sword w/Leather Scabbard - Vanguard NY Solingen Germany - Excellent Condition Up for sale is a post-WWII Era US Marine Corps USMC NCO Sword w/Leather Scabbard. The blade is bright with the decorative acid etched UNITED STATES MARINES log on each side. The blade is marked: Vanguard New York, Solingen Germany. The leather handle is fully intact, with the wire wrapping. The leather is soft and supple, no cracks or breaks in the leather. The scabbard has a leather body with a brass throat and tip. The tip is missing the rivet. The leather is soft and supple, it has some nicks and handling marks. There are no markings on the scabbard. Overall an excellent example of a USMC NCO Sword.
