Description: This carte de visite portrait captures a pretty and well dressed woman posing for her portrait for celebrated and talented photographer, Charles Reutlinger (1816-1881). Judging by the woman's attire, she is likely affluent. Reutlinger founded the Reutlinger Photography Studio in Paris in 1850.The studio took photographs of many of the city’s rich and famous residents and visitors. The caption in the bottom center of the card, "depose" refers to something similar to a copyright. This carte de visite is in good condition (see scans).Addendum : It has been pointed out to me by an observant ebayer, that the woman in this photograph is opera singer, Adelina Patti.
