Description: Phalaenopsis amboinensis is a species orchid. The flowers have a musky fragrance (some say it smells like cologne). The flowers have red/orange markings on a white background. This is an easy to grow species, and is a vigorous grower. The plant usually flowers in late spring/summer and the flowers are long lasting. This plant is a sequential bloomer, so make sure to not cut the spikes unless they are dry/shriveled up. These are large mature sized plants. The rest of the photos display the TYPICAL plants that you will receive.These plant is very healthy, mature, blooming sized, with a nice root system. This plant is many years old. It's currently potted in a 3.5" pot with medium grade (power) daltons of New Zealand orchiata bark, and NZ moss.Culture: Grow in intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in medium sized bark or moss and keep in partial shade. Water about once a week.
