The book was illustrated by Joe Tesauro and published by Clandestine Industries and Bradson Press. The story of the book is influenced by the recurring nightmares Wentz suffered as a child. It is named after the song "The Boy with the Thorn in His Side" by The Smiths. The book was only opened for his signing and these photos. it has never been read and is is like new (see photos) condition. Regarding authenticity, he personally signed this at a venue in Pontiac, Michigan and a picture of that ticket stub is attached from that 2005 Fueled by Ramen Tour.
