Description: Bowers & Wilkins CM1 Concept 90 Bookshelf Speakers Purchased new 3/25/1989 from Audio Consultants in Evanston, IL (my original receipt will be included) and they have served me well. The speakers are in nice condition with minimal signs of use, the grills have some discoloring and developed some cracks (see photos) but still fit snugly on the speakers. According to internet site Taste for Audio these were “designed in collaboration with Kenneth Grange of Pentagram Design Laboratory. This series offers a unique three-dimensional matrix housing system for high rigidity and minimal resonance produced, resulting in a clearer sound.” One can understand this by knocking on the side of the speaker with ones knuckles, instead of sounding like hollow boxes they sound solid.
