Original Vintage Rockwell Kent Lithograph, Jesus and Joseph, #CE0839

Description: Rockwell Kent: "Jesus and Joseph" Rockwell Kent (1882 – 1971) was an American painter, print maker, illustrator, writer, sailor, adventurer and voyager. This piece is a print (lithograph) of Kent's pen and ink drawing entitled "Jesus and Joseph". Created by Kent in 1937 this artwork is numbered 44/150 (lower left hand corner) and pencil signed by Kent in the lower right corner. This design was originally used by Kent as a Christmas card! This piece is somewhat rare, only a few (of the 150 created) have come up for auction in the last 40 years. You'll notice from the listing pics that I have taken some photos of it in it's frame, and some of just the actual lithograph itself. It has a wood / gilt frame with a glass cover. The frame is a little loose, you may therefore wish to re-frame it at some point. Saying that though, this piece is currently hanging (in the frame) on my wall above my desk looking just wonderful! The frame measures 22 3/4" (width) x 20 3/4" (height) x1/2" (thickness). The actual lithograph itself measures 17 7/8" (width) x 16" (height). The image measures 15" (width) x 11 3/4" height. With frame it weighs 4lb 12oz. Great as a gift or for the collector of Rockwell Kent art, rare American wall art, vintage drawings, prints, paintings, pictures and other special items. CONDITION, Please read the description. This piece is in good condition yet shows signs of age and wear as all great vintage items do. The image on the lithograph itself is in excellent condition. The margins of the lithograph are worn a little and discolored in places (from tape holding it to a frame?). Examine all the pictures closely. Zoom in & out to get a good sense of it's exact condition: a picture tells a thousand words. The frame is a little loose, the bottom left corner of the frame has slightly separated, it is still fine to hang , though you may wish at some point to get it re-framed. The frame also offers excellent protective cover for the actual lithograph. Examine all the pictures closely. The item photos serve as a document as to its condition.
