The original lemon gold color is beautiful and original. There are a few very small spots of loss and discoloration but for a frame this age it is really excellent. The outside of the frame measures 20 x 28 inches with a width of 1 3/8 inches visible. The rabbet measures 18 1/8 x 26 1/8 inches and is perfect for any canvas of 18 x 26 inches. It is also great for a matte and work on paper that would fit this size. The wire is strung for horizontal, but it could obviously be used vertically.
