Description: This is an original Antique Ming Period Blue White porcelain plate exported from China during the Ming Period of China history. This export porcelain was meant primarily for the large overseas Chinese communities in Penang, Malacca, Singapore and surrounding countries in Southeast Asia including Indonesia & the Philippines. STAND NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE Condition Description: Plate is in Fair to Good Condition overall. There is a single visible 1 1/2 hairline crack on the rim of the plate as well as a noticeable chip on the bottom of the plate. There are also some slightly darkened gritty marks around the rim of the base - piece priced accordingly Item Provenance: The saucer was purchased by my expatriate father in Penang, Malaysia during the period he owned a Southeast Asian antique shop in the late 1970's early 1980's. He only purchased from reputable local antique dealers who specialized in Peranakan / Straits Chinese items. Plate Dimensions: 8 1/4 inches in Diameter & 1 1/4 inch in Height.
