Description: This listing is for an old Hotel Piccadilly stationery envelope from Manhattan, NY. Light wear and soiling overall, as expected with age, along with a small oxidized area in one corner. The glue must’ve been exposed to moisture at some point so the envelope is sealed shut, although it’s empty. The Hotel Piccadilly was built in 1928 and located at 227 W 45th Street. This 700-room hotel was in the heart of the Theater District and had its heyday from the 1930s-1950s. The surrounding area went downhill in the 1960s-1970s and the Hotel Piccadilly was demolished in 1982. The Marriott Marquis now stands in its place. Ruler is shown for purposes of scale only.
