He allows you to untap each archer during every player's untap step. When ever an archer deals damage to a creature, you may pay 2 and draw a card. This deck is filled with archers, many of which can get deathtouch. Which allows you to kill a creature with one point of damage. The untapping each turn puts your opponents on a a strict clock. They can't sit around, and take that kind of damage for long. Greatbow Doyen lets archers that deal damage to a creature, also deal damage to a controller. If you like to beat opponents without much attacking, this a great to play. It is also excellent versus flying creatures.
