Description: NICE WWII M1 Garand Steel GI Bayonet BRIGHT BLADE, Made by AFH DESCRIPTION: Nice complete, original US Army WWII GI bayonet, made by AFH. Scans show it all. Marked with the typical "US", "AFH", and arsenal ordnance bomb. Blade appears to have the original finish. Plastic grips are in decent condition, although one of them has some minor nicks/wear. Release button works well. Only defect is that it is the bayonet only, with no matching scabbard. Scabbards can be found or this would be perfect to display on the end of a Garand rifle or for display/use. Very good condition overall. A nice example of an unusual bayonet, with unusual background and use, that was still being worn and used in combat in island fighting. Bayonet measures the standard 14 1/2" long overall, blade is 9 3/4" long. M1 bayonets are one of the nicest ever made. A classic WWII collectable piece. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
