Drivers with polypropylene cones, rubber surrounds and 1" Teteron dome tweeters deliver full range audio through a wide range of temperatures. FeaturesDesign: The Russound Acclaim 5 Series OutBack outdoor speakers are designed and built to withstand the rigors of outdoor environment. They can be used in a wide range of temperatures, and are unaffected by extremes in humidity. This 5B55 package includes 2 outdoor speakers (with integrated brackets), 2 grilles, 2 pair of end caps, and 2 bookshelf feet.Included wall mount brackets and stand allow for easy indoor or outdoor placement2-way acoustic suspension (sealed) enclosureWoofer: The 5B55 speakers feature 5-1/4" injection-molded polypropylene woofers with rubber surrounds.Tweeter: The 5B55s have 1" Teteron dome tweeters.Terminals: Each speaker has a single pair of spring post terminals that can accept up to 12 gauge speaker wire. Russound recommends that you use 16 gauge speaker wire for runs up to 100 feet, 14 gauge up to 150 feet, and 12 gauge up to 200 feet.Grilles: Black painted aluminum grilles are included for each speaker. The grilles (as well as the mounting hardware) are corrosion-resistant to give you years of service in any kind of weather.Painting: The speaker mounting bracket, enclosure, end caps, and grille can be painted to match your home's exterior if you desire. Care should be given to prevent getting paint on the terminals or drivers.Installation Options: The 5B55 speakers can be installed horizontally or vertically using the provided mounting bracket. The speakers can rotate on the bracket approximately 60° left or right. The bracket has provisions for corner mounting or pole mounting (using U-bolts), as well. Each speaker comes with a bookshelf foot that attaches to one end of the speaker for installing the speaker vertically on a flat surface.
